Corn skiing is what this trip is all about. The corn snow in the High Sierra is world famous and our intention is to indulge on this trip. We intend to do the Sierra High Route from west of Independence to east of Fresno. California's high alpine boasts spectacular skiing and beautiful mountain vistas. Our classic ski line is topped off with a descent through the giant sequoias. Please see our itinerary for maps and trip details. On the evening prior to the trip we will meet in Mammoth Lakes and spend the next day skiing at the resort. This will allow acclimatization as much of this trip is between 10 and 12 thousand feet. From our condo in Mammoth Lakes we will be transported to the trail head for the start of the traverse.
Cost of the trip includes all guiding, food while on the traverse, lift pass at Mammoth Lakes Resort, two nights accommodation at Mammoth Lakes, transport to the trailhead, transport from the end of the trip to Fresno. What is not included is food while in Mammoth Lakes and any accommodation and food required at the end of the trip in Fresno.
